Admission rules for candidates with Polish diplomas

Candidates with a Master's, Bachelor's, Engineer's or equivalent diploma obtained in any field of study will be eligible for recruitment.

Recruitment for studies will be conducted on the basis of an interview to assess the candidate's predispositions, including the assessment of their academic, scientific and professional achievements, as well as communication skills and motivation to study.

During the interview, general knowledge on the importance of communication in the legal sphere will be assessed (one general question on the candidate's interests, the second - on the importance and critical assessment of communication in the field of law-making, law application or lawyer-non-lawyer relations). The following will be assessed: the ability to argue, the degree of understanding the problem and communication skills - 0-50 points. for each element of the conversation.

The minimum number of points necessary to consider the interview passed is 60 points. Failure to appear for the interview results in disqualification of the candidate and granting him 0 points in the qualification procedure.

The maximum number of points to be obtained in the recruitment process is 100, while the minimum number of points required for admission to studies is 60.

On the basis of the results of the qualification procedure, the admissions committee creates a ranking list, which determines the order in which candidates are admitted to studies within the limit of places.

Admission rules for candidates with foreign diplomas

The same rules apply as for candidates with a diploma obtained in Poland.

Checking the candidates' competence to undertake studies conducted in the English language

In the qualifying procedure for second-cycle studies conducted in English, candidates are required to submit a document recognized by the University of Warsaw confirming their knowledge of English at the level of at least B2.

In the absence of documents confirming the knowledge of English at the level of at least B2 (in accordance with the requirements set out in the general part of the recruitment resolution), the candidate's language competences will be checked during the interview for studies.

A positive result of the qualification procedure is tantamount to confirmation of the candidate's competence to study in English at the above-mentioned field of studies.

Confirmation by the recruitment committee of sufficient command of the English language is a condition for admitting the candidate to further recruitment procedure. Failure to reach the minimum number of points necessary to consider the interview passed results in disqualification of the candidate.
