Graduate Programme in International Relations, stacjonarne, drugiego stopnia

We offer an exceptional 2-year second cycle degree (Masters) full-time programme delivered entirely in English. We are looking for candidates who are open-minded, creative, ready to study in a multicultural environment and dedicated to understanding the challenges of International Relations and global politics. We expect from the candidates to have a sound knowledge about the basics of International Relations and strong academic focus. All courses are taught by experienced academics from Poland, other European, as well as non-European universities.

Tuition-based programme

The Programme offers a curriculum centred around achieving methodological, theoretical and practical knowledge, skills and competences. It consists of 4 semesters (terms). The first semester is devoted to general issues of International Relations. In their fourth semester students are welcome to decide about their own curricula by choosing one of the two study tracks: social or economic. The Programme includes 3 semesters of master thesis seminar, which allows for individual research focus and further development of research competences under the supervision of an experienced mentor. The central location of the University of Warsaw makes the Programme special also in the sense of access to academic and extra-curricular activities for students. In the course of studies, students will have the opportunity to participate in numerous open lectures held by well-known professors from around the world. What is more, students are welcome to apply for a semester abroad in the framework of Erasmus + Programme and bilateral agreements with universities all over the world (examples include, Mexico, USA, Brasil, India). We also offer a double degree programme with the University of Haifa, Israel, Xian University, China and Sichuan University, China and Thammasat University, Thailand.

Employment prospects

The Graduates of the Programme earn a bachelor degree (licencjat) recognised in the EU and internationally. Employment prospects include a professional career in international organisations, international business, public administration (especially foreign service and ministries) or the non-governmental sector.

About the Faculty

The Faculty of Political Science and International Studies is the oldest and largest political science and international relations academic center in Poland. For many years, the fields of study run by WNPiSM have been awarded the title of the best in Poland (e.g. in the Perspektywy ranking).

Zasady kwalifikacji dla kandydatów z dyplomem polskim

Próg kwalifikacji: 12 pkt.

O przyjęcie na pierwszy rok studiów drugiego stopnia mogą ubiegać się osoby, które uzyskały dyplom licencjata, magistra, inżyniera lub dyplom równoważny dowolnego kierunku studiów.

Podstawą kwalifikacji jest egzamin ustny przeprowadzony w języku angielskim.

Zagadnienia do egzaminu zostaną podane do wiadomości kandydatów na stronie IRK.

Wynik końcowy to suma punktów uzyskanych za poszczególne części egzaminu. Maksymalnie kandydat może uzyskać 30 punktów.

Obowiązują takie same zasady, jak dla kandydatów z dyplomem uzyskanym w Polsce.

Sprawdzenie kompetencji kandydatów do studiowania w języku angielskim

Kandydaci uzyskują potwierdzenie znajomości języka w trakcie egzaminu ustnego. Pozytywny wynik postępowania kwalifikacyjnego stanowi potwierdzenie posiadania kwalifikacji do studiowania w języku angielskim.

Egzamin: 19-21 maja 2025 r., godz. 8:00-20:00 (egzamin przeprowadzony zostanie zdalnie na platformie Google Meet lub Zoom)

Ogłoszenie wyników: 26 maja 2025 r.

• I termin: 27-29 maja 2025 r.
• II termin (w przypadku niewypełnienia limitu miejsc w pierwszym terminie): 30 maja, 2 czerwca 2025 r.
• III termin (w przypadku niewypełnienia limitu miejsc w drugim terminie): 3-4 czerwca 2025 r.
• kolejne terminy wyznaczone przez komisję rekrutacyjną, w przypadku niewypełnienia limitu miejsc w poprzednich terminach
