Admission rules

Studies may be conducted in Polish or in English.

Qualification for studies conducted in Polish language is based on maturity exam results.

Minimum number of points: 50

Qualification for studies conducted in English language is based on maturity exam results and additional entrance exam conducted in English language.
Minimum number of points needed from maturity exams results: 50
Minimum number of points needed from additional entrance exam: 60

Polish new maturity exam 2005 – 2021

Qualification for studies conducted in Polish language is based on maturity exam results.

Minimum number of points: 50

Qualification for studies conducted in English language is based on maturity exam results and additional entrance exam conducted in English language.

Additional entrance exam for studies conducted in English language

Oral exam conducted in English language is based on a publication read by the candidate, a popular science book in the field of psychology.

Reading for the exam for studies in English: Jonathan Haidt "The Righteous Mind: Why Good People are Divided by Politics and Religion".

Admission Committee can give maximum of 50 points for each aspect that is graded:

  • reading comprehension
  • critical thinking.

In order to verify whether candidates read and understand the book, Admission Committee will ask them to explain essential topics and ideas mentioned in the publication.

In order to verify whether candidates are able to make critical reflection about the text that they read, they will have to evaluate strengths and weaknesses of the concept mentioned in the book and formulate their own opinion providing reasonable arguments.

Maximum number of points possible to obtain during the additional entrance exam: 100 

Minimum number of points needed to pass the entrance exam: 60 

The final result for studies in English language consists of:

  • points obtained during the first stage of qualification procedure - calculation of maturity exam results (50%)
  • points obtained during the second stage of qualification procedure - additional entrance exam (50%)

Maximum number of points possible to obtain in the qualification procedure: 100

Checking candidates' competences to undertake studies conducted in English language

At the stage of qualification procedure candidates are obliged to have document confirming knowledge of English language at least at B2 level. Additional entrance exam for studies conducted in English language: 13th-15th of July, 2021 (the Admission Committee may shorten the deadline of the exam to one or two days) 

Announcement of results: 19th of July, 2021

Reception of documents: 

  • I round: 20th-22nd of July, 2021
  • II round (in case of not fulfilling the limit during I round): 23rd, 26th of July, 2021
  • III round (in case of not fulfilling the limit during II round): 27th-28th of July, 2021
  • IV round (in case of not fulfilling the limit during III round): 29th-30th of July, 2021
  • additional rounds will be announced in case of not fulfilling the limits
