For more than 35 years, the University of Warsaw has offered its Executive MBA program for senior managers and executives. The University of Warsaw Executive MBA combines the prestige and academic excellence of one of Central Europe's leading universities with a practical, innovative approach to management education.

The knowledge, skills, and leadership capabilities developed throughout the program are immediately applicable in today's business environment. As a result, the benefits extend beyond individual participants to the organizations they serve, which gain leaders who are better equipped to drive change, lead high-performing teams, and accelerate organizational growth.

The quality of the program is validated by four of the world's most prestigious international business school accreditations: AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS, and BGA. This distinction is reserved for business schools that meet the highest global standards of excellence in management education.

The University of Warsaw Executive MBA degree is internationally recognized and enhances the reputation and credibility of both its graduates and the organizations they represent.

Candidates

The program is designed for professionals with a minimum of five years of work experience, including at least three years in managerial or leadership roles. It is intended both for executives who have not previously had the opportunity to pursue formal business education and for experienced managers seeking to refresh, broaden, and systematize their management knowledge and leadership capabilities.

The Executive MBA program focuses on developing comprehensive management competencies and a strategic perspective on organizational performance. Unlike specialized programs that concentrate on a single functional area—such as finance, marketing, or human resources—the Executive MBA offers an interdisciplinary curriculum that prepares participants to make informed decisions across the entire organization. This holistic approach enables leaders to understand the interdependencies among business functions and to address complex managerial challenges from an enterprise-wide perspective.

About the Program

The Executive MBA is more than an educational program—it is a platform for meaningful leadership transformation. The program develops leadership capabilities through a comprehensive, systems-based approach, strengthening participants' ability to lead agile organizations. Organizational agility is understood as the capacity to respond rapidly to change, make adaptive decisions, and successfully implement innovation in an increasingly dynamic and competitive business environment.

The program fosters a holistic understanding of how organizations operate by emphasizing the interdependence of key business functions, including strategy, finance, marketing, human resources, and operations. This integrated perspective enables participants to better understand market dynamics, make more informed strategic decisions, and create sustainable competitive advantage for their organizations.

Academic faculty

The Executive MBA faculty brings together distinguished professors from the University of Warsaw and leading universities in the United States and Europe, including the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge.

The academic faculty is complemented by accomplished business executives and industry experts who bring extensive leadership experience and deep professional expertise to the classroom. Their practical perspective ensures that participants gain not only a solid conceptual foundation but also valuable insights into the real-world application of contemporary management principles and best practices.

Study mode and convention frequency

The Executive MBA is offered in a part-time format. Classes are typically held twice a month, allowing participants to balance their studies with professional and personal commitments. A detailed class schedule is provided to each cohort at the beginning of the academic year.

In-person attendance is the preferred mode of participation, as it maximizes interaction with faculty and peers and enhances the overall learning experience. However, in justified circumstances—such as illness or business travel—participants may attend classes remotely.

Assessment Methods

Exams, presentations, case study analysis, quizzes, simulations, individual or group. Studies end with the defense of a consulting project as the final thesis.

Alumni

The University of Warsaw Executive MBA is also a vibrant community of business leaders. The WIEMBA@UW Alumni Association brings together executives and senior managers who share not only the experience of completing the program but also a commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth.

Through the Alumni Association, graduates build and maintain meaningful professional relationships, exchange knowledge and leadership experience, and participate in initiatives that foster continuous development. This dynamic network provides lasting opportunities for collaboration, mentorship, and business partnerships, creating a strategic professional community that continues to deliver value long after graduation.
